We booked The Richmond as it was within walking distance to the World Hotel to see the Terracotta Warriors. We arrived after a long drive from the Highlands and were welcomed by a quick and easy car valet service, a rare gem in city hotel these days!
Check in was quick and informative and we made our way to our suite on level 3. What a room!! One of the biggest suites we've stayed in with nicely laid out partitions to separate the rooms.
The kitchen was well stocked and the standard hotel water bottles were chilling in the fridge rather than being left on the side which was a nice touch, especially on such a warm day.
We dropped off our over night bag and went off to explore before heading to the Museum. The hotel seemed to be fairly central. We are not familiar with Liverpool but found a lot of nice bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with a great varied menu but for dinner we fancied something a bit different so went over the road to Fattoush, an Arabic restaurant directly opposite where the food was very good!
A cool feature of the room is that the giant mirrors turn into the TV! We rarely watch TV but this was quite cool and a nice way to disguise what would have been an eyesore in a grand looking room.
Would certainly recommend! less

Liverpool is amazing and continues to exceed in delivering amazing cultural experiences and specifically the terracotta warriors is a specific delight.
We hope to welcome you back to the city again soon.
