A large family group of approximately 25 people called in on an evening after visiting a local church for a friends funeral.
We stayed less than 2 hours and had an enjoyable drink in the bar, staff were friendly and chatty
Several of us were very surprised to receive letters from the company that runs the car park fining us £60 each for not registering our cars with the hotel
When I phoned and spoke to the only person at the hotel who is authorised to discuss parking(Sharon) she was quite unhelpful, told me that there were lots of signs up, and just gave me a phone number to call to appeal....and this number doesn't even take appeals!
I accept that there were probably lots of signs, and therefore we were in the wrong.
To me, good customer service is going that extra mile, doing something special and Sharon missed the opportunity
I have paid my fine, as have other family members, but none of us will ever return here,
Whilst I accept it was our fault, blame it on human error as we were probably all too busy chatting when we arrived, but I post this as a warning to all future visitors................ ........PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK less
