My wife and I stayed here as part of a 28 day European holiday. This was the most expensive hotel room on the entire trip and was by far the smallest. We are used to staying in 3-4 star rooms but this fell far short of our usual standard of accommodation. We queried the size of the room with reception and were advised that it is the location we were paying for. I might add at this point that we have stayed in New York twice in the last couple of years in Manhattan hotels that were slightly less expensive yet larger, more modern and much better appointed.
The location of this hotel is quite good but we realise now that we could have based ourselves anywhere in London and utilised public transport to get around, it is very effective.
This room had many faults such as no soap holder in the shower, the toilet roll holder was on backwards and the lifts are very small and difficult to operate. There was also no fridge in the room, although reception did offer ice on request.
The room was tiny!! It was impossible for 2 people to walk around the bed at one time.
On the up side, the continental breakfast was quite good and had a reasonable range on offer.
Regretfully I have to say that this was overall, a very disappointing stay. less
