To save some money we took the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow Terminal 1-2-3 Underground Station to the hotel in High Street Kensington. It meant a 35 minute ride, change at Earls Court and another three minutes on the District line (direction Edgware Rd) to High Street Kensington Underground Station. Turn to the left into High Street and walk 320 m/5 min and at the fourth street corner you’ll see the hotel sign on the first floor. The hotel entrance is to the left in the adjoining Abingdon Rd. You will come straight into the lift where you need to press the red button all the way up to the first floor.
I got upgraded to a double room and my friend stayed in a single room but the bed took up most of the space in both rooms. It was a bit cramped but the rooms were clean, nicely decorated and kept. You’ll find good reading light at the bed and the writing table, coffee and tea making facilities, an easy chair, a luggage rack and a safe for a medium sized laptop. The beds were made for a good night’s sleep. The brightly lit bathroom had a shaving/make up mirror and free toiletries.
The included breakfast contained coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, fruit salad, toasting bread, buns, croissants, marmalades, muesli, Weetabix, a good selection of flakes and more. The only shadow was overcooked, hard boiled eggs. For a fee you can order English breakfast.
We had a very good price deal by paying for the rooms a fortnight in advance through a website.
We are really pleased with our stay at Best Western Seraphine Kensington Olympia and enjoyed eating at all kinds of restaurants in the neighborhood.
We warmly recommend Best Western Seraphine Kensington Olympia for the good standard, the cleanliness and last but not least for its helpful personal. less
