Where to start….
At check-in I was given the room key, walked to the adjacent building where I was staying, with my luggage, only to find the key didn’t work so I walked back to reception with my luggage. I found out they gave me the wrong key. I finally settled into my room and found the wifi key was wrong. Back to reception to get the right wifi key. 2 hours later they changed the wifi password yet again and it stopped working. That said, the wifi performance throughout the stay was spotty at best, dropped out regularly, was extremely slow and kept asking for the password and to accept their “terms” regularly. Overall bloody annoying. It got so bad I gave up a few times and just used my 3G phone as a hotspot to get decent internet access.
The room itself was small and cramped, and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. For the price I paid, I expected a room without hairs on the bed, hairs in the shower, grubby door handles, cupboards that looked like they hadn't been wiped over in 12 months, floors that needed mopping, and dirty mirrors. The shower contained mould, rust and hairs from the last person. Maybe that’s not a big deal because you won’t be spending much time in the shower as the hot water didn't work on the first night, and on the last 2 days it was luke warm at best…and yes I turned on the special “switch” on the wall to turn on the hot water
Sleeping at night was tough. The beds were rock hard. The fridge was noisy, so I closed the bedroom door but then the room heated up quickly so I needed to turn the air conditioner on. This was noisier !! I also had the room near the lift so I heard everyone coming up to the floor, so it was bloody noisy. Make sure you hang around for the muslim prayer that is broadcast over a loudspeaker somewhere nearby. Sure it’s a muslim country and part of the culture, but it’s not fun when trying to sleep…and not advertised as part of the resort bonuses. If you are after peace and quiet, this resort isn't for you !!
This is also one of those rooms that uses your keycard to turn the power on. When you leave and take the keycard, the power cuts off. This means you can't leave phones charging, or air conditioners on. You come back to a room that is like an oven.
I’ve seen windows in bathrooms – they are usually small and frosted glass. Strangely my room had 2 large see-through windows IN THE SHOWER, that opened and had a blind that rolled down.
The bathroom is tiny. Not even big enough for one person, so if you are travelling with another person allow extra time for both people to cycle through the bathroom.
The breakfast is edible. Nothing flash but if I’d known what was on offer I would have probably just grabbed something locally.
And I have pictures to prove it. less

Thank you for your helpful feed back which has helped us identify several areas which we will improve on, the wi fi connection being one.
We inadvertently gave you a suite that was supposed to have been blocked for repairs and renovation, and had we known of it before you left, we would have upgraded you to a larger suite with the splendid lake view, which is our usual practice. Indeed, we have now blocked that particular suite due to your feed back.
Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are always open to constructive responses from our guests.
