We spent 6 nights here for our honeymoon. I booked online, and they didn't charge me or send an email reservation, so I sent an email asking for confirmation (I ended up finding the original confirmation email in my junk email), and I never even got a reply back from the hotel with the confirmation I asked for (not a big deal since I found the original). They charged my credit card on the morning before we were supposed to arrive, and my bank declined it as "fraud protection" so they gave our room away. I got an email about it before we arrived, so I phoned them and had to rebook a different room (not as nice as the one we had originally booked) and they guaranteed it would be ready when we arrived, even though it was before check-in time. When we arrived, our room was not ready for us and the front desk staff had no idea it was supposed to be. He dealt with it really well and had our room prepared for us ASAP and stored our luggage for us while we waited. The room itself was tiny, as all Paris hotel rooms are. The room was clean but dingy. A few nights into our stay, water started leaking from the roof in our bathroom and pooling onto the floor. The staff dealt with it politely and as promptly as they were able. The location of the hotel was very convenient and right by the Louvre, although I think if I were to go to Paris again I would stay in St Germain, Montmartre, or the Latin Quarter so I could be in proximity to better restaurants and less traffic.

We are sorry to read that you had so many mishaps during your stay. I would like to know on which website you have booked, because it is not normal that a reservation vote has fallen into unwanted mails. Effectively this caused a shift in the process and other problems, because we had to charge your card late, it was refused so automatically the reservation must be canceled. As a result the room is free, and is put on sale, which caused you another set of problems ... I'm so sorry, besides it was your honeymoon :-(
I sincerely hope that this has not spoiled your stay in Paris and you will still have wonderful memories of your honeymoon in France.
