3 dirty rooms, several flies and missing items

I was placed into 3 separate rooms, all of which had food on the floor underneath the desks and several flies! The water pressure is terrible because you have to have the water on the hottest temperature to get good pressure through their shower heads. I wanted a room with a tub but every time that they “upgraded” me for being inconvenienced by their unclean rooms, they just moved me to a higher floor into a room with the exact same esthetics. My first room had crumbs on the chair and food on the floor and had almost no toilet paper on the roll no extra paper stocked in the bathroom. My second room had a broken drawer that wouldn’t close and no Kleenex stocked. My third room had a piece of bacon on the floor underneath the desk that i didn’t identify until the next day. And again, they all had several flies which i spent the weekend that i was supposed to be relaxing, killing. As far as room decor, i would have appreciated at least one piece of art or scene from Detroit in my room, since the the city is apart of the hotels name. Also, i called twice in the same day, after check out, about an item that i left in my room, and i was never given a call back to let me know if they found the item or not. And lastly, one of the panels on the elevator was lifting away from the wall on the 12th floor. That’s not necessarily a big deal, but if housekeeping and maintenance comes to the floor everyday, it something that should have been taken care of. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. I have stayed in much nicer 2 star hotels and for this one to be rated 3.5 stars, i was expecting much better. less
