We have stayed at this hotel around 8+ times in the last year and a half or so. It is affectionately known as "our hotel!" We have lots of family and friends in the area, so we use it every time we come to town. I literally cannot say enough about the staff and service! I don't even "check" the rooms anymore, I know they are perfectly clean every time. They have a wonderful breakfast and breakfast area that is cleaned and staffed by the sweetest little lady and nicest young man and even though the current restrictions have forced them to offer grab and go breakfast options, they have done a wonderful job of still providing many options for a nice breakfast. Even though there are Covid restrictions for the moment and nobody likes them, the staff made the experience still very positive and I believe anyone would feel safe there because of how clean and orderly it is, they are definitely doing what they have been asked to do. We cannot medically wear masks and they were very gracious about that even though they were required to ask us about it. The shields that are up and their extra cleaning most definitely compensate for the few of us who have to social distance instead of use masks.The pool and newly remodeled patio area are beautiful and always very clean. Our kids really enjoy the pool and hot tub! The desk clerk even served us snacks on a tray while we were relaxing on the lighted patio! We also use this hotel to visit with family and friends and more than once, they have accommodated us by letting us hang out and play games in their lobby or conference room,even after we have checked out for the day, with no extra charge. Carlos, the manager is SO nice, his heart is truly for service to his guests. He treats you as well as if you were staying in his personal home, and all of the staff have gone the extra mile EVERY stay to ensure that we come back again and again. I have never experienced this at any other hotel, and it has become THE standard for hospitality service in our minds. They have set the bar very high, and when we have had to stay anywhere else in another town, it has never quite measured up to the experience at "our" hotel! We are looking forward to more stays for Thanksgiving, Christmas and a January wedding, and I know Best Western Plus Holland Inn and Suites will fluff the pillows and roll out the red carpet again for us each time. less
