Each Best Western is privately owned and managed and whoever manages this one knows EXACTLY how to do things right! Total 5-star treatment from the staff is just the beginning. They've got a beautiful patio area with all sorts of new, comfortable furniture that includes a big grill that guests are allowed to use. There's even two giant hammocks our there for relaxing any time.
The pool and hot tub are CLEAN and open 24/7 (no kids under 18 after 11) and they serve a decent pizza any time day or night for $12. The breakfast is a full one from 6a-10a with eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, juice, milk, waffles, bagels, bacon, sausage, bagels, yogurt (Greek and regular)...you name it, they probably have it available. Sweet tea, hot coffee, cold bottled water, fruit and assorted hard candies available at all times in the lobby.
The rooms are clean, the beds were great (especially the pillows) and the water pressure in the shower was even perfect.
The best part is the patio service -- didn't expect to see an employee popping in and out carrying a tray with cold, bottled Ice Mountain water and bowls of Ghardetto's snack mix, going around to everyone and making sure we had whatever we needed. They'll even bring you a glass of tea from the lobby if you ask them.
They pride themselves in being a family-friendly, party-free zone. And we appreciated it. No rowdy guests to be found. It was a total chill place to be. We would explore during the day and hang for hours in the evening, enjoying the laughs and company of the other guests under the nice, evening ambient lighting of the patio.
All around a fantastic stay and we plan on staying there again when we come back to Holland, MI! less
