I've stayed here about this time every year since 2011. Until now, I have been very satisfied. This year, not so much. I had planned on staying 8 nights, but only stayed 3. Partly because of the weather and partly because of of the facility.
The housekeeper never made the bed, didn't replace the coffee on the first day. I had to go down to the office to beg for coffee. Basically it looks like new towels and emptying the trash was about it. If the housecleaning is going to be less on stays of multiple days, then this should be reflected in the bill, which of course it is not
I requested a top floor room, but did not receive one. I was told there was construction going on. Come on, the top two floors? I did hear some banging when I got here, but nothing since. This makes the 3rd year that they have been remodeling. That seems a little odd. I ended up on the 3rd floor as far away from the ocean as you can get here. Being a Diamond member, I am supposed to get an upgrade. I guess this was it.
The furnace is very noisy. It woke me up a few times in the first two nights. 3rd night coming up, and I expect the same. Sounds like it about to blast off for a rendezvous with International Space Station.
Breakfast seems to have gotten skimpier. The usual breakfast lady from the past several years was not there. The current one mentioned that she had to step out for a few minutes to put the laundry in. Doing double duty it appears.
Whoever has been doing the remodeling at this facility needs a little OJT. The two bathrooms which I have experienced after the remodeling appear to be shody.
I'm going to give a hard look at coming hear next year. I may have to find a new winter getaway. less
