Wanted to stay at this hotel, as I had heard good things about it, it was a very late decision to go to Hunstanton, but all the websites showed it full, there was a charity event on at the hotel. I phoned up the hotel directly and was surprised that their best room (Room 106 by all accounts), was still available, so I booked it!
On arrival is was apparent it was very busy, the pub next door was full all day and the parking was controlled by stewards.
After getting settled I want for a walk, as it was a lovely hot day. When I arrived back I asked about dinner and was told that because of the charity event, the hotel restaurant was fully booked but also so was the bar and the pub next door, however we could buy a BBQ ticket, not wanting a BBQ I went for an indian restaurant in town.
It was a very hot day and Room 106 is right at the front of the room, prime location, but this meant the sun was shining into the room all day, so it was very warn in the room all night, I had to keep the in-room fan on all night ! But the bed was very comfortable and I slept very well, which for me is very unusual for a first night in a hotel :-)
Next morning and went to breakfast at 9.15am, we were seated relatively quickly, a quick table setting and we were there. NOW THE POOR BIT - but then we were left for over 25 minutes without taking our order and in total it was 40 minutes before we actually received our food, this was probably the longest I have ever had to wait for a hotel breakfast, in all the hotels I have ever stayed in, which was such a shame as the food was lovely and some for he staff we very nice.
Having said all that I would stay here again less
