Visited Orlando during Memorial Day week 2021 and picked the Best Western International Drive due to its close proximity to all the theme parks. When booking the hotel, I was pleased to see photos of a reasonable fitness center (online photos makes the hotel and area look great) and read about complimentary shuttle service to the parks and breakfast. However, these are not entirely true.
Fitness center was tucked away on the 2nd floor of the hotel in a corner, and most of the equipment was broken or outdated. Stretch cords worn and limited, not much weights, and both treadmill and bicycle were broken. The only thing that worked was the one elliptical and it was facing away from the TV. It also didn't help the air conditioning didn't work appropriately (so it was stuffy in there) and the kleenwipes were dried out. It did serve its purpose, but underwhelming compared to what was depicted online.
As for the complimentary shuttle service and breakfast (which are were probably why there was an $11/day resort fee), these also weren't the greatest. Breakfast was prepackaged lunch bags with 1 entree (cereal vs egg/cheese muffin vs french toast stick package), 1 piece of fruit, and yogurt cup. Not much variety, but still better than nothing. The shuttle service, however, was extremely disappointing as it was one shuttle out in the morning (after the parks opened) and an early return shuttle (5-6pm) when the parks are open until 9-10pm. If you plan on going to Disney World parks, forget the shuttle as you will arrive at 11 (or later) and have to rush to leave by 5pm. Much simpler to take the Lynx 8 to Seaworld then Lynx 50 starting at 7:00am and get there when the park opens around 8:30. I only used the shuttle to get to Universal in the morning as it was a short trip, but it was simpler walking back the 2 miles at 9:30pm than lose 4 hours of park time for the shuttle.
Outside the hotel amenities, the room was well kept, but due to COVID, cleaning only happened every 3 days. One day, the cleaning services took all my towels and garbage bags without replacing them, so I had to go to the front desk at 11pm to get new ones. My other complaint was the lightening in the room was soooooo dim. It wouldn't hurt to have stronger than 45-60W bulbs to give the room more brightness, especially near the bathroom sink area.
