Stayed for a short visit to London. Hotel is about 25 minutes by train east of central London, so not great, but easily manageable. Train service is frequent enough and the station is within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Recently renovated, but room was quite small. The upper floor had stairs in unusual places, making it trickier to navigate with wheeled luggage. Hotel is in two parts: I was in the main building, but some rooms are in the annex half a block away.
London is expensive, so staying further from the centre lowered the cost, at the expense of travelling time. As London is such a vast city, you'll probably hit your daily Oyster card cap anyways, so it was more a matter of time wasted travelling back and forth rather than money. less
