The location is ideal, just few minutes walking to city central and many restaurants and few bars in surrounding. I reserved comfort double room for a single guest. It was clean and quiet, the bed was okay to sleep in but those pillows were horrible, as they had been used for years. They provide minibar in room, but they were no pricelist to find and no information at all whether they‘re complimentary or not. Sadly one bottle of water stood half empty in the refrigerator, so apparently they didn‘t thoroughly check everything before new guests check in. Not so a good sign for 4 stars. The furnitures had had their best years, perhaps modern around 6-10 years ago, but definitely was not thought to make the stay more comfortable. Forget about the Internet, with the quality of the WiFi, I think they should stop referring free WiFi in their commercial. Since I heard lots of good things about their breakfast buffet, I went there on the first morning. After 10 minutes waiting on the table, finally came 3 waitresses out of the kitchen at the same time. Still they didn‘t even have attention that I was the latest who came. So after another 5 minutes waiting, I decided to leave and bought my coffee somewhere else. The next two mornings I didn‘t even bother to have another try for having breakfast there. The Staff was average, can’t say they radiate warmth and friendliness, at least they greet the guests with good mornings or evenings. For the price they set (more than 100 Euro per night for one guest) in a city like Eschweiler and for their 4 stars status and the average quality and performance, I think they overrate themselves. less
