I’ve stayed here twice in the past. Decided to stay here again 11/12/17 on our November roadtrip down to Southern California. Office staff was very friendly, and check in was quick and easy. The room was a “King waterview room” with a balcony overlooking a small waterway (creek) that follows along part of the extended campus of the University of Oregon. Many ducks floating in the water, and even got to see a huge Heron pearched on a branch above the water.
The room was a nice big room, with a sitting area with nice cushy armchairs. Included a microwave and small fridge. The bed was VERY comfortable with a plush mattress top. It was VERY quiet, couldn’t hear ANYONE else in the adjacent rooms. Slept sound all night.
There was a sink with a long countertop inside the bathroom, and another sink and almost as long countertop outside of the bathroom. LOTS of room for toiletries and such. Taking a very long shower in the morning: the showerhead appeared to be a VERY new “WaterPik” showerhead with a couple different massage settings. Water stayed hot the entire time, and water pressure was awesome.
One of the first things we did after arriving was taking a nice soak in the hot tub (located in a room off to the side of the outdoor pool). The water was nice and hot, but not too hot – we were able to soak for about 25 minutes with no problems. The room being about 1/3 surrounded by glass windows – and the weather outside kind of chilly – the entire hot tub room was filled with a steamy haze like being in a steam room. Very nice!
They serve a morning breakfast including cheese-filled omlettes, chunky potatoes with herbs, bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy, and various cold cereals. Better than your average motel breakfast. Only complaint – need to bump up the ‘keeping heat’ on the warmed foods.
Decently priced at $107. for the night, I would definitely stay here again. less
