So my Dad found the Best Western online on their actual website instead of through a booking website.. from the reviews and the pictures it looked great for the price. Dad was under the impression he was booking a two bedroom apartment for him and myself, one of the ones pictured on the website. This is what we normally do when we stay in hotels so we can share a lounge together but still have our own bedrooms and privacy. He rang the hotel to confirm the details on the website were correct, and asked that the 2 bedroom apartment was going to cost him only $148 per night as advertised. The man said yes, that is all it would cost. When we arrived at the hotel we were given two room keys - a key for two separate rooms. Both identicle - contained a double bed, a single bed, a tiny bathroom and a fridge. The man at reception whome he spoke to on the phone before we arrived, and who met us at reception came across as dismissive and dodgy.. We had planned on staying two nights but unhappy with the whole situation decided to stay elsewhere. On leaving we were hoping that maybe we would only need to pay $148 for both rooms seeing as that's what he had told Dad over the phone, but no he charged us $296 for both of the rooms. Utterly ridiculous. The rooms were okay but no way would he have even bothered with something like that when we could've had a two bedroom apartment elsewhere for way cheaper, and no doubt alot nicer. I'd love to leave some kind of complaint about the way we were treated, and the misleading nature of this situation, but my bad reveiw will have to do. We were not happy campers! less

Dear Elrose, I am not sure why your dad thought we had misled him with the room, he specifically asked for two rooms and that was the rate he was given, if you believe you can get a two bedroom apartment for $148.00, then I would suggest you take that on every occasion, as our two bedroom Apartments are $250.00 to $300.00 per night. So I would suggest that you look up the website again, as we did not sell him a 2 bedroom apartment, and for you to say the man we met at reception was dismissive is again not true, as I did not even meet you, so unfortunately both you and your dad need to do some more homework, if you want to stay in a five star hotel, do not expect to pay for a backpacker.
