Stayed here for a weekend, as an escape to the country break. Pleased to say that it was a good choice.
We booked through their own website, which offered B&B double room cheaper than we could find on comparison sites, and good value for money was had.
The Hotel is well kept, the restaurant food reasonably priced and a good range to choose from. The bar was open til at least 2am, a little pricey, but not entirely unreasonable- (A pint of premium lager and a large Pinot was £11). Bar area and restaurant are one and the same, theres a lovely terrace to the rear (but not quite spring enough to brave this time of year). The lounge area was very charming.
Service was very good, breakfast (12.75, but was included in our package) consists of cereal, fresh fruit/fruit salad, pastries and juice, as well as a cooked to order full english, and again very good quality.
Our room was in the annexe, Parkers Lodge, which was a very short walk from the reception, but no qualms with the room. Comfortable bed, large bath and shower, modern bathroom, TV and ironing board provided.
Views were nice from our room, car parking is ample and free, as is the wifi.
The grounds are very pretty, just on the cusp of spring so will be better again in the next few months.
The location is remote, not much else around, but Burnley was only a 15min drive if you need to get to a town.
Good value break, and would stay again. less
