Best Western Glenspean Lodge Hotel.

Best Western Glenspean Lodge Hotel is tucked away in an idyllic spot near Fort William, just two miles outside of the pretty little village of Roy Bridge. Sitting on a peaceful hillside with beautiful mountain views, the hotel offers the perfect place to reflect and relax! In a delightfully secluded setting, the hotel is a world away from everyday life and its unwanted distractions. From walks, canoeing and fishing to quad biking, paintballing and clay pigeon shooting, we can arrange lots of activities during your stay, so it's not too peaceful!

Our beautiful dining room only adds to the magical atmosphere here at the Best Western Glenspean Lodge Hotel. As you enjoy a romantic meal, you can gaze out over Ben Nevis (as well as into each others eyes of course!). If you want to venture out and enjoy the freshest of fresh air, you'll find wonderful walks within our five acres of hillside and woodland. Just 20 minutes away, you'll also find our famous little Cille Choirill - a little church on the hill used in the filming of Monarch of the Glen.

Breathtaking views over the surrounding area await, or you could go down to the gorge and walk across the rickety bridge (which is now a rather up-to-date strong bridge, but will always be called the rickety bridge by the locals!).

Maintaining high brand standards and excellence in quality is second nature to the Best Western Glenspean Lodge Hotel, in Fort William. We have proven that going that extra mile during our annual Best Western quality assurance assessments really does pay off. Our hard work and dedication to cleanliness and quality of both guest rooms and public areas has gained us the Best Western International Quality Award. A global recognition of excellence given to only a few selected hotels throughout the world, this award shows that we take pride in offering high levels of excellence in quality and brand standards our guests expect.

Our Head Chef has been with us for several years now and has an excellent reputation for his home cooked food, having travelled the world cooking in his younger days. He has a vast knowledge of food and makes almost everything we serve from breads to soups, pates and an amazing array of mouthwatering desserts, using only the freshest local ingredients; with some being grown in our very own greenhouse.

Owner Response
iansue86, Owner at BEST WESTERN Glenspean Lodge, responded to this review
The Glenspean Lodge Hotel is a seasonal hotel opening between March until October each year to the public. At New Year the hotel is booked out to a private group that is why the sign on the door said 'private house' as this is what it is at this time, you were not met by either myself or my husband as we have a very skeleton staff at this time so I can only presume you were met by one of the guests using the house at this time, I apologise if they were abrupt to you but had you asked to speak to the owners one of us would have come and politely explained that the house was closed to the public at this time of year and we would not have been able to accommodate your group.
