Dear guests, Thank you for your review of our hotel and for your kind words regarding our staff. I am saddedned that our hotel facilities did not meet your expectations. I take this opportunity to inform you that the hotel has been renovating rooms in a contemporary style last year and that the hotel will be closed at the beginning of next year to go through major renovations of common areas. The hotel will also be adding a spa facility, a fitness room and a larger terrasse. It is impossible to please everyone but it is my hope that these changes will increase the number of people satisfied with what the hotel has to offer. Dear guests, Thank you for sharing your experience. I would like to express my sincerest apologies for ending your good experience on a bad note. We should have better handled this situation. When a situation occurs with two guests at the same time, one at the desk and a guest on the phone, the correct procedure is to take the phone call and listen to the guest's request. Then, depending on the guest's needs, the call can be handled immediately, the call can be put on hold, or the receptionist can offer to call back shortly. The person at the desk can see that the receptionist is busy, but the person on the phone does not know that. This is why every phone call should be taken care of. This is the procedure that has been taught to my front desk team and that should have been followed. When we spoke yesterday, what my receptionist did not tell me, is that he did not give give you the opportunity to explain the nature of your urgency. I thought that you told him on the phone that you left your belongings and you were coming to pick them up. I did not understand yesterday why you were so worried about your belongings, when they were safe with us until you come back. I know now that we did not tell you that they were safe with us, anbd that's why you were worried. This missing piece of information changes everything and definitely justifies your attitude. I take full responsibility for not having my front desk team not properly trained on this procedure, and for not investigating more with you what exactly happened. I will make sure that such situation does not occur in the future Once again, I would like to apologize for not handling properly this situation.
