This review was difficult to complete as I had two opposing experiences at this hotel. Our stay was for 3 nights. The first night's stay was MISERABLE due to the air conditioning not functioning and an extremely foul smell in the room. The 2nd and 3rd nights were wonderful as we were provided a different room. Upon the initial check in I informed the front desk that there was a musty-chemical terrible and sickening smell in the room. Since there weren't any similar rooms to change us to, it was recommended that we leave the sliding door open when we went out for the evening. I followed the recommendation and upon return closed the door and turned on the a/c for the remainder of the evening. We were unaware that the a/c did not work. Also, the smell did not dissipate. It was sickening. The room temp. was 75 degrees all night and too hot for a restful sleep combined with the odor. Needless to say, we were exhausted the following day! In the morning, the front desk was able to change our room. The next room was wonderful and we slept well and enjoyed the remainder of our stay. I requested compensation from the manager due our horrible experience the first night. She said she would provide something. Upon check out, I was given a $30 credit for our inconvenience. I told the woman I checked out with that the amount was inappropriate. She took my phone number and said she would have the manager call me to discuss my concerns, as the manager was out of the office while I was checking out. I have never heard from the manager. Trust me when I say that the difference from the quality of our stay from the first night to the 2nd and 3rd was worth significantly more than $30! A room in the condition of our first night's stay should have NEVER be rented out to anyone. less
