Lovely hotel in the middle of absolute nowhere. Booked for my partners 24th birthday. We had a great time. We were in room 28, a beautiful room within the main castle with a four poster bed. The bathroom consisted of a double shower and toiletries were provided (as were tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom).
The breakfast was okay. It was nothing out the way special, a little bit on the sparse side, but it was adequate. I would’ve liked a few more options like pancakes or eggs benedict or something.
One thing I wasn’t a fan of though was the lack of wi fi signal in the bedroom. In the main restaurant, the wi fi worked amazingly. But in the castle itself, it was barely existent, I was constantly battling with it to get the wi fi to work; let alone get any 3G. Hence the reason I knocked a star off. I mean it’s not the be all and end all, but when you’re paying a fair whack for a room you expect everything to be top notch.
Overall though, I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a special and unique stay. It was great. less
