Beachcroft Hotel, BW Signature Collection

This is a wonderful hotel and it’s location right on the beach is incredible. We were looked after by the amazing staff (special shout to Tom who was brilliant and helped us with so much) the breakfast team and the lovely lady who organised our afternoon tea in Blake’s bar (the afternoon tea was fantastic and compared to others I have had in much more expensive venues this was by far the best) the room was lovely with our own courtyard and you get a time slot to suit you for the pool so literally have it to yourself - brilliant idea. Well what can I say the Beachcroft beach hut suites are an absolutely amazing holiday experience. From arrival we were made very welcome . Andre was very welcoming and informative at check in, throughout our stay always saying hello and checking we were ok. Katie was a lovely smiley welcome on the front desk and always helpful and cheery The huts are overlooking the beach with stunning views and you would think you are abroad. We stayed in Beach for 4 nights start of August. The hut was finished to a high standard and the open space is great. We stayed with our teenage daughter and 2 small dogs. Our daughter enjoyed the privacy of her own bunk room. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and a bottle of wine. Along with a decanter of sloe gin a coffee machine and other treats . Breakfast each morning is included and what can I say one if the best cooked breakfast . All cooked to order fresh , tasty and served by lovely friendly and cheery faces in the morning . I loved that the hut was refreshed each morning by housekeeping which I hadn’t expected as had presumed ‘self catering’ stocks replenished and fresh towels. Sitting in your own little terrace with the sun shining was amazing the whole stay surpassed my expectations . Now onto the hotel which is another little hidden paradise. There is the choice of 3 places to eat in the evening so no need to venture far ….unless you want to. We ate at Blake’s terrace bar the first night and had freshly made pizzas and pimms overlooking the beach with a very tranquil vibe. We ate in Monty’s bistro also which is very dog friendly and the food was amazing and I loved that you could pick from the Tamarisk restaurant menu too. One absolute gem of the stay was the swimming pool . Booking your own private slot to enjoy a cool swim after a hot day. We can’t wait to venture back and have to say the drive from Edinburgh was totally worth it. Only complaint was I wish I’d booked longer ! less

To start with the staff at the Beachcroft are all amazing! The owners should be credited for finding such amazing people, from the reception staff to the chaimermaids, to the barstaff to the fantastic waitresses serving breakfast. All brilliant - my kids especially liked Leanne! The parking is fairly limited but never had an issue parking up. We had bed and breakfast. To start with the breakfast was brilliant, we chose the classic full English every day, not too big to over face a person. My kids enjoyed fresh croissants daily. The waiting staff were brilliant! Always smiling and happy, really attentive and friendly but not overbearing. The room was clean and functional. Only major gripe was no fridge to keep drinks cool. We had a balcony overlooking to sea, which was fantastic. I didn't see a lift so am not sure if there is one, however there were ground floor rooms. Facilities wise we took advantage of the pool, a small private pool that is booked in half hour slots so no interruptions. I'm aware that the hotel offer a number of other things such as bikes and deck chairs however this wasn't advertised. The bar attached to the hotel outside isn't open too late and serves amazing food! Then there is the main selling point in my opinion - a footpath width from the beach! Well worth a revisit. less

Looking for a few days away by the coast on my own, I took a chance on the Beachcroft Hotel. It was far better than I could have hoped for. Right by the beach, easy parking, refurbished sea view room, delicious food and amazingly good staff. I had an excellent prawn and crayfish sandwich at the outdoor bistro when I arrived, a delicious dinner in the restaurant and table service breakfasts, all with top quality ingredients beautifully cooked and presented. As the weather was so good I swam in the sea instead of the pool, but this is bookable by the half hour - an excellent idea. I didn't get the name of the Portuguese owner, but he's doing a great job and must be very proud of the staff. I'm aiming to return with my husband and bulldog in the not too distant future! less

Fabulous location right overlooking sea but it is the staff that make it special. On arrival, we had a lovely lunch on the terrace before enjoying the sunshine and seaside walks directly from the back of the hotel.. Plenty of parking on site and free. Restaurant was excellent and service superb! Small swimming pool that you can book and excusive use and the breakfast the following morning was just the best !! Highly recommended for location, good value and excellent service! less
