Booked for 2nights with a dog. Loved the grounds and welcome.Watching Love Island at 10.30pm & had a noise complaint. Turned it down from volume 36 to 20 as advised.Then had knock on door, ‘duty’ manager came to say that it was still an issue, myself & sister in pjs with face masks on and he told me we looked to be partying 😳. He started to walk away & I asked him what the issue was, he ignored me and let me walk in pjs & socks to follow him to reception to get him to address me? Yet he knocked on our hotel door? The staff, all five of them sat in silence, bar a nice lady at reception. Disgusting Disgraceful behaviour. We were then woken at 7am by the morning manager about ‘noise complaints’ from previous night, which were down to the arguing with the ‘night manager’?!?! Shocking that the night duty manager chose to come to our door and was aggressive and laughed in my face & expected no reaction? Anyway the morning manager was talking to us when ‘our neighbor’ came out shouting. Swearing & very aggressive. He said we had loveisland playing ‘half the night’ lol I mean it’s an hour long and the loudest we had the tv was 36 😳😳. Your morning manager ran away and left us with this Male & Female shouting & swearing at us.
I requested management to check CCTV & asked to see it?! I also asked for a follow up on my statement that I spent the night writing thanks to your stationary, and handed over to your management. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. less

W1477FOlaurak, thank you so much for posting your review and for your comments, after your threats to post the “worst review ever” I’ve been looking forward to seeing it, I’m just a little surprised it has taken you over 3 weeks to write!
Any perspective guests can read all the reviews, feedback and comments on this site (and other review sites) and take a grown-up, balanced and measured view and will clearly see that the underlining theme that runs through the reviews for Grim’s Dyke Hotel is how friendly, polite and helpful the team are.
Please excuse me if I do not go into all the details here but the consequences of the 16 hours or so that you spent on property has already taken up considerable time in reassuring, compensating and winning back round the 5 other guests (rooms) from the neighbouring bedrooms who were disturbed and inconvenienced by you. Thankfully two have already returned and one more has already made a future reservation.
