DO NOT book this hotel. We walked out in disgust.

Saturday 19th August 2017: There is not enough on-site parking. Upon arrival (after a 330 mile journey), we found there were no parking spaces available at the front of the hotel. Following the signs, we located the last space in the rear car park. To access reception, it was then necessary to walk along a back lane, enter via a door and climb a steep staircase (no lift). All of this with two large suitcases. Having found reception, we were asked to pay the full amount of our stay up front. We were then given the key to Room 148. Upon entering, we immediately hated the room. It was small, dark and depressing. The ONLY storage in evidence was a single wardrobe, which also housed the tea/coffee making facilities. As far as we could see, there were no drawers or shelves. There were two of us and we were staying for eight nights. The final straw was when we pulled open the net curtains to reveal a dirty, littered rooftop with industrial vents sticking out of it. Not only was it unsightly but it smelled horribly of stale air. We returned to reception, to be told that we would need to stay in Room 148 until Tuesday and then we would be upgraded. I asked for our money back and we left. "I hope you find someone else to stay!" was the remark shouted at us, as we walked out. less
