We were given a gift voucher for a single night in a superior room, B&B which we booked for Mother's Day. On arrival, we were a little early so had lunch in the Oak room bar, which was very tasty. We then went for a walk around the garden, including a woodland area which was obviously being "left to nature" and was largely overgrown. When the room was ready we were told we had been upgraded to a suite. The room itself was good, with a king sized four poster bed, a safe, mini fridge and a lovely bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Sadly our upgrading meant we had lost the garden view we had booked, and we overlooked the car park. But this wasn't too much of an issue. We had couple of room issues: the TV hardly worked at all with terrible or non existent reception, and the toilet roll holder was coming off the wall. Again, minor issues! We spent a nice couple of hours by the pool-the spa facilities being clean, comfy and pleasant.
Dinner was in the carvery, which was nice with generally good all round service at a reasonable price. The rose wine is very nice!
We had a lovely quiet night with no exterior noise until the morning. Tea and coffee facilities, water and orange drinks all very good. The full English breakfast was very nice in the Oak room restaurant and we left feeling very full. Generally a very nice stay, with staff that are very helpful and pleasant. less
