Visiting family for the weekend we usually stay in the Premier inn but, due to recent price increases, Knights Hill was only £10 more per night so thought we’d give it a try.
Good points: location, free parking, friendly staff, quiet site, comfortable bed, plenty of tea/coffee, biscuits and water, it was a hot day so a fan had thoughtfully been left on in our room. Very clean.
Poor points: bedroom and en suite very outdated. Several areas in the en suite were worn/damaged from wear and tear, e.g. damp woodwork had rotted. The pool needs complete refurbishment, lots of rusty/worn/damaged points. We attempted a swim but the water was murky so we doubted the quality and got out.
We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food or restaurant. less
