Owner Response
Hotel M, Guest Relations Manager at Best Western View of Lake Powell Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Glochan137: Thank you for your comments. I do apologize for your experience. As you may not realize, there is a severe drought for the past 2 decades in the American Southwest. Lake Powell is a man-mande reservoir. It conserves water for the Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. The blue spot you referred to is the dwindling fresh water supply for the American West, so yes, it should be a concern, but for a different reason that you pointed out. Our hotel is proud of our unobstructed view of Glen Canyon. We publish it on this website as well as many of our other guests. You may not realize this, but between 5pm and 6pm is during prime check-in time, so the receptionist were busy servicing other guests. Our record shows that your toilet was checked and it does flush. Our hotel has a 2 step system with the flushing to conserve water. 1 push for #1 business and 1 longer bush for #2 business when using toilet. I apologize if this was difficult to figure out. Thank you for your comments.
