Friendly staff and housekeeping.
There was no mention in the We Care letter about not providing bottled water to Hold Member guests. The new Covid-19 protocols set by Best Western corporate require that the front desk and lobby sanitization procedures are supposed to be in place in the lobby and across guest touch points throughout the hotel with disinfecting taking place every 2-4 hours. This did not happen.
Sanitizing stations are will be installed throughout hotels but I did not see any.
Housekeeping is supposed to remove all
unnecessary items from guest rooms, such as decorative pillows, bed scarves, paper notepads and pens but our room had all of these things.
I don't know if this hotel did the required enhanced and thorough cleaning protocols are supposed to be implemented in guest rooms. Guest rooms will not be entered for 24-72 hours after check-out, at which time the room, linens and all touch points will be cleaned with chemicals aimed at killing COVID-19"
As a traveler during this time, I was anxious by what other protocols were dismissed that I could not see. We are just trying to get home during these uncertain times. Though the staff was very pleasant, I was very uncomfortable with the lack of diligence.
It's not only this hotel, we stayed in another Best Western and had similar experience but it was cleaner and in good working condition. This seems to be a corporate problem.
The toilet in this hotel wasn't attached to the floor. It wiggled and moved around. Carpet was filthy. I found an ear bud part under the mattress pad. Covid-19 or not, these things are unacceptable. less
