Pros: Comfortable mattress, superb views, following Covid guidelines well.
Cons: Room in need of renovation. Heating unit was very loud and never shut off. It either needed to be set to be on or turned off. About a foot section of covering over the heating baseboard was missing leaving a filthy, sharp grid. When we checked in we were told about hot tub hours but when we went to use hot tub, there was no water. Not sure why this wasn't mentioned at check in. Grab and go breakfast was poor. The first morning, we went to pick up the bags and were told that all "adult" bags were gone and we were given child's bags. We ended ordering at a restaurant as we planned on hiking all day and needed adequate nutrition. The second morning, we went down earlier by 8:30 am and again the adult bags were gone. My husband asked that adult bags be made and the breakfast staff person was obviously put out by this request. He did make 2 adult bags which contained applesauce cup, hard granola bar, tiny pre-pakaged muffin, overripe banana and bottle of water. Not even juice. We had been told when making our reservation that it would contain oatmeal, bagel and cream cheese and more nutritious items. Coffee was only available on weekends. In summary, the amenities did not merit the cost of the hotel. We enjoyed the great view but next time would look for a hotel with better amenities and room that was also on Lake Superior.
