My husband and I stayed here for four days in early June. The hotel is very conveniently located on a quite residential neighborhood street, away from the busy tourist, but at the same time within a 1-min walk to the Swiss Cottage tube stop, which takes you everywhere. Given how big London is, even if you stay near a major touristy spot, you still need to take the tube to other places anyway. The hotel is next to what seems to be a nice community park, where many local family brought their kids in the afternoon, and a library.
The hotel is in an rather old victorian style house. Despite being old, the property is nice and clean, and the AC works well. We got upgraded to a very spacious deluxe king room, which we appreciated very much. A few items of note:
1. there is an elevator, but it's very small. we had two big luggage and I decided to leave husband and bags in the elevator and walk up the stairs myself, so that it's not too crowded.
2. As it's an old house, the squeaking noise of the wooden floor can definitely be heard through the doors, as well as people talking the in hall.
3. front desk is very small and old-fashioned. Don't expect the same kind of front desk service that you might get at big hotels.
4. on our last two days here, there was a Chinese tour group that also stayed at the property, and they would gather at the front door in the morning before departing for their day tour and would talk extremely loudly, which was very annoying. I'm sure other guests in the hotel and people the neighborhood don't appreciate it and feel like the hotel could have put up a sign or communicate with their group leader.
All in all, a nice convenient and comfortable hotel at a reasonable price.
