We stayed in two rooms for three nights. The outside of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are very small but look to have been renovated within the past few years. The bathroom has a sliding door (which I do not like) and was constantly getting stuck and required alot of surface contact. All rooms open to the outside so that made this feel more like a motel. Breakfast is currently "grab and go" which is a brown bag with fruit, a muffin, a nutrigrain and a water. I thought that was very nice of them to supply that since a traditional breakfast isn't feasible due to Covid. They are also only offering housekeeping upon request so you have to put your towels and trash out and go to the desk any time you need replenishment. I found that every single front desk person was welcoming and friendly and did not seem irritated by my many requests for towels. The hotel is one block from the beach - - a crosswalk is right in front so there was no problem crossing A1A. The pool was usually crowded but it was well kept. Overall this was a good value for proximity to the beach and a 5 mile drive from historic St. Augustine. All staff encountered were very friendly and polite. less
