My partner and our small dog stopped here en route back to London from Cornwall. We didn't expect much and were surprised and delighted by the hotel and its thoroughly professional and charming staff.
They upgraded us to a huge double room, at £50 a night plus a few pounds for the dog, which would have cost at least at four times or more in Padstow, Cornwall, which we had just left.
It is only a three star hotel so there are none of the frills of a four or five star. On the important stuff - the comfort of the bed and bedding, a bathroom with unlimited hot water and a powerful shower, Wi Fi, good sound insulation etc it scored top marks.
Most important the staff were poilte, professional and seemed to be pleased to be back at work after the months of lockdown. less
