After booking our (me and 17yr old nephew) room, a good few weeks before, and the tier 2 COVID restrictions took hold. We called the hotel few days before to check, what is happening, they said, “please arrive as normal and we update on any changes regarding social distancing within the hotel.
The hotel, is on the main high street, local shops, Waitrose next door, and Morrison’s only across the road, next to the Humble Fish & Chip shop (fish bites are worth trying👌😘)
The purpose of our stay was visiting attractions locally (Mercedes Benz World & central london sightseeing/possible early Xmas shop)
Bus stop was across the road to the railway station only a pound😁 per person, but if arriving back late, check a timetable. But we got a private hire taxi on the return at almost 10pm, only costing a £6
Unfortunately we never used the bar or restaurant at the hotel, but mentioned chippy across the road, and breakfast in Morrison’s. Fantastic value
Only issue I will have to mention, is the car park, if you arrive in a large suv type vehicle, it’s tight getting in, even tighter getting out.
Oh, the twin room we had is super super dark at night. Giving a great nights sleep
Thank you less
