We only stayed one night on our way home from Pensacola and Gulf Shores. The hotel looks like it’s just been remodeled and it’s lovely! Very pretty lobby and breakfast area. We stayed on the second floor, poolside. Didn’t hear anyone nearby, only occasionally someone talking as they passed our room—but we were pretty far back from the stairs and elevators. The room was super clean, beds were soft, and nicely fluffed pillows. The shower was GORGEOUS, but the shower/toilet area was very small. The coffee maker was missing the slot to put the coffee in, but we only stayed one night so it wasn’t an inconvenience. Breakfast was definitely one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I’ve had! The eggs and biscuits were fluffy, and they had a nice assortment of food and beverages. Plenty of seating, and breakfast ran from 6am until 10am. You could hear airplanes flying overhead from the nearby airport, but once we realized they were planes, we had no trouble tuning them out or sleeping. Be aware they do have both smoking and non-smoking rooms, so make sure you pick the one you want! The pool looked gorgeous, but we didn’t have a chance to try it out. Easy to access from the interstate, and right off the main road. The parking lot and outside areas were well lit at night. Overall very happy with our stay! less
