First impressions are nice, the hotel grounds are nicely planted and bright and cheery. The check in was efficient, if a bit robotic and impersonal. Room was excellent, very spacious, spotless and modern, and the bed was comfy. There’s also a couple of chairs outside (hotel is motel style) -which was nice, allowing us to sit out with a drink in the evening. Pool area also really nice. The attached restaurant is a bit dated and the bar lacks atmosphere, but the food in the restaurant- both breakfast and evening menu is excellent and decently value. You also get 2for 1 drinks vouchers which is a bonus.
Only real complaint is that it’s a good 20-25 mins walk to the main shops/bars/restaurants of Tucson, which I don’t class as downtown or central as the hotel description suggests. When passing buses are going to ‘downtown’ that suggests to me that you are not already downtown. It is handy for the freeway though.
Trains are noisy in the night, but that’s not the hotels fault, and just one of those things.
If you don’t mind being quite a way out of the main town area, the hotel is excellent and to be recommended. less
