Stayed here for five days over the Xmas period,the staff were fantastic,nothing was too much trouble.The food was excellent and so much choice ,the service was great ,it was Xmas the restaurant was full so things took a little longer but the lunch was worth the wait, we weren't there to hurry.We have previously stayed at other hotels in St Helier and food at The Royal hotel was far superior.We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.
Their was an issue with water temperature at certain times of the day,the management were aware and addressing the problem.
We had a room on the first floor with a patio,quiet,spacious and very clean.The bar was friendly and prices comparable to home.
It was a 10 minute walk to the main shopping area and about 15 minute walk to the bus station,harbour cinema etc.
We look forward to returning. less

Our team at the hotel take great encouragement from your feedback. In addition to almost 300 Christmas lunches being served we were also catering for almost two hundred guests at both breakfast and dinner on Christmas day and we are happy to report that the feedback on our catering has been a great boost to our staff who worked diligently to make Christmas special over the whole Christmas break period.
Any issue with hot water temperature is thankfully not an ongoing matter at the hotel. Two completely separate mechanical issues restricted supply of hot water at times to certain bedrooms and it was the two problems in combination, despite redundancy built into the systems, which professional engineers were engaged to resolve and you kindly have appreciated that this sort of maintenance is more difficult over the Christmas days.
Our patio area is a great amenity and such a large terrace area is unusual in a Jersey town centre hotel. We are fortunate to occupy a substantial town site and this allows our guest useful space, particularly at Christmas.
We are so pleased that you found our bar prices reasonable. We try to hold our prices to comparable public lounge bar levels and this gives our guests a better sense of value whilst in Jersey.
