I stayed for 5 nights and liked this hotel a lot, which is why I am rating it a ‘very good’ even though parts of it were a little dated. The Best Western Royal is of course, an old hotel and so it is a bit creaky in places (there was one particular night I thought elephants had moved in to the room upstairs because human beings couldn’t possibly be so heavy-footed thumping around to the extent I thought the ceiling would crack!) My little room, 201, was very quirky and a bit ‘mish-mash’ but I liked that and it suited me fine as a solo traveller. The bed was warm and comfortable and the bathroom perfectly adequate and clean, with a nice hot shower. The room could’ve done with a few hooks to hang things on but there was a wardrobe and plenty of storage space. There was a big TV and drinks making facilities, with a good choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits. The room was quite dark with only a little window but I was out most of the day anyway. The hotel offers a nice sun terrace and also the use of a pool in another hotel nearby. I didn’t get chance to use those facilities (although I did go and explore the terrace) and didn’t have breakfast with my deal either. I did eat in the bar that is attached to the hotel and enjoyed my meal. There is a computer in reception for guests to use, which came in handy for me. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is a 5 – 10 minute walk to town and a good location overall. I would stay here again if I go back to Jersey and thought it was a reasonable price for Jersey (it was a shame I didn’t get breakfast in the price, but that is my mistake on booking.com). less

Thank you for your kind review.
We are a traditional town hotel trading since the 1840's and have been adapted and changed over the years to suit contemporary tastes and requirements. Hence we are not a modern, generic, hotel and we like to think this adds charm and has challenges in todays market. We have different rates to suit prospective guests (restricted, flexible, breakfast, half-board) and these can be booked on many channels.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would welcome you back to the Royal
