We stayed here for over a week, unfortunately during a rainy period. However on the warmer days when we decided to go to the beach, nothing was too much for the staff, when asking for beach towels, or even for use, when swimming in one of the pools (in their sister hotel) near by.
Also the staff were very attentive in the dining area too. Charming, warm, and friendly are only a few words I could use to describe them. The staffs' different nationalities also gave the hotel a sense of variation, from a cheeky Irish lad to the classy French. It was great to see the young lads especially present themselves as such dignified individuals. No matter the time in the morning they made you feel welcome, greeting us with a humorous smile and a hearty good morn.
The food was nice, however dated at times... It offered a range of quite 'fancy' food, so if you have kids, I would strongly suggest a kids meal! Nevertheless, you pay for the service, which is delivered at a very high standard. However the bar had no night life, I mean bingo was the entertainment?! Get flashing lights, make theme nights.. Open it up and get it into the naughties!
However the town was a 15 minute walk away at a stretch or wearing heels, so basically not far at all. We loved the cuisine there too, eating out every night in the harbour or hotel.
The landing feels like a catwalk, with mirrors all round, so perfect if you want to dress to impress.
A great place all round, somewhere I would visit again. less
