Have stayed here several times in the past and it was always ok, but this time wasn't. Staff was friendly & gave us one of their "just finished remodeled rooms." Turned out our room was a wheelchair accessible room. Not sure why we were given that room as neither of us are disabled. And if that was a completed remodel, they need to pay a lot more attention to their quality control. Bathroom had several places where there were gauges out of the walls & they had not filled them in, just painted over them. The grout was very sloppily applied. There was a hole in the wall below the sink. The shower didn't have a shelf or cutout place to put your soap & shampoo so we carefully balanced them on the edge of the fold down table rather than on the floor. Of course, being wheelchair accessible, there was no lip on the shower floor, but the curtain didn't come down to the floor so every time we took a shower, water splashed out & got most of the bathroom floor wet. Wet tiles and very slick floor so we had to place several of the bath towels to cover the bathroom floor so we wouldn't slip & fall. The window curtains leaned away from the wall so light came into the room at night. We finally moved chairs to press against the curtains to block out the bright light. One of the lamps didn't work. We didn't complain about it, but when we came back the next day, the lamp was gone. Not replaced, just gone. On the positive side, the room was acceptably clean, the A/C worked fine, & the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Nice staff, good selection & good quality. I would rate the breakfast as one of the best "free" hotel breakfasts we've ever had. We'll probably stay here again the next time we're in the area, but will give them time to finish the renovation work. less
