My husband and I wanted to give our 12 year old daughter a reward for getting straight A's on her 2nd semester report card. She chose the option of getting a local hotel and spending the night there with a friend. The 3 of us checked in and the woman at the desk (who I assume was the manager) was amazing and very welcoming. Once we were in our room, I called my husband and told him if he wanted to bring our other 2 children to swim, he could. My daughter's friend has a younger brother and he came as well. Before the children could get in the water, the front desk attendant (who was so nice earlier) stormed into the pool area and very rudely asked me if I had any more people coming to swim, that she normally wouldn't allow so many people because it's a liability, but she would allow it this time (3 extra children were swimming, 2 of them were my own). I guess if she had been nicer about it, I would have understood. She also wouldn't allow my daughter to use her pool floats in the pool, said they were too big...?
The rest of our experience at this hotel was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable, the other staff members were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with omelets, French toast, sausage, waffles, etc. The lady who ran the breakfast area was so nice!
So - all in all, it was a great experience with the exception of the pool situation. One more thing to note...the hot tub was not in working order, so she did give me a discount on the room at check-in, which I thought was nice. less

Thank you for your feedback! My apologies for coming off rude, I definitely did not mean too. We have had other locals in the past bring in a lot of extra people for swimming, so I had to make sure that that was not the case. The only pool floaties we allow, are ones for smaller children who need help in the water. Larger floaties unfortunately take up too much space and can become a hazard. I am glad that you all still managed to enjoy your stay. Please contact me directly if there is anything that I can do for you. Thank You!
