Our first red flag was the current remodeling taking place in the lobby. The next flag was the cancellation of our five month advanced reservation. The third flag was being placed adjacent to the elevator and one of three entrances into the hotel.
We tolerated the elevator and entry traffic okay, as the noise was muted enough. Then came tonight, March 17. I am writing this review because it is well after 10:00 pm, and all the magpies and loudmouths cannot keep quiet. I found that most of the problem was coming from the pool, which is open 24 hours! Why in the name of sanity does a hotel pool need to remain open for 24 hours?
I brought this to the attention of the night desk clerk and she said there was nothing she could do. Such as make a decision to close the indoor pool area and tell all the urchins and miscreants to go to bed. As I began to leave, the desk clerk asked me if I owned a black pickup truck. I replied no and asked what did that have anything to do with my complaint. I told her that I did not have a black pickup and could care less, which was the same attitude she extended to me. She should have been asking the knotheads making all the noise if one of them owned a black pickup.
This particular hotel is a blemish on Best Western Plus Hotels in general. We're on a three week trip, and staying at only Best Western because of their quality staff and quiet and relaxing accommodations. But the Best Western Plus is an awful place to expect peace and quiet. The management doesn't seem to care, and we had no recourse but to wait until the circus died down. Pathetic and poor management makes this hotel one you can skip, or risk the wrath of rude and loud guests. I will not recommend this sorry excuse of a hotel to anyone, and as a Best Western Rewards member, I find the way I was treated by the careless and insensitive attitude of the night clerk to be unacceptable. less
