I arrived bleary eyed and tired around 10:30pm. I just wanted to get my room keys and get to bed. The clerk greeted me and asked for my AAA card. I was a bit surprised since this was the first hotel in about five previous hotel stays that anyone had bothered to ask, but I said sure and ran out to my car to get it. I handed over the card to the clerk and she said she couldn't give me the AAA rate because my AAA card (registered under my nickname) didn't match the hotel registration (under my full name). She was adamant about it and rather curt about the whole thing. I was too tired to argue, but I certainly wasn't a happy camper either. Why the clerk thought upsetting an obviously tired customer at that particular time seemed a bit inhospitable to me considering it's the hospitality industry and such. When the copy of the bill was left under my door the next morning, it turns out the AAA rate was applied anyway. So I guess the clerk just felt like giving me a hard time out of spite. Bravo.
The room itself was clean, but had a strong odor in certain areas. However, I was too tired to complain and didn't think I'd keep my composure if I had to deal with the same clerk again. less

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, it helps to know so we can fix the problem. I have taken care of this situation with the front desk agent that you are speaking of.
We hope that if you are ever in our area again that you will give us another chance to show you that we have great customer service. Again I want to apologize to you!!
