Unclean and they take a deposit off your credit card

While the apartment had been cleaned the floor obviously had not. I found cereals under a sofa, hairs and dirt pretty much in every room.
There was no cleaner available given it was a Sunday. I asked for a Hoover and was told that I would have to go collect it. I was also offered to move to another apartment, but declined as I had already unpacked - it was quicker to go fetch the hoover (requiring to drive to the reception, as it's not at the apartment building).
The other 'surprise' was to learn, at check out, that our credit card was charged $200 as a deposit. Typically hotels 'block' this charge but don't actually take any out. Instead, we need to wait 7 to 10 days to get our deposit back.
Overall a disappointing experience. We only stayed a day, a Sunday, and they only have one person at reception looking after guests. less

Our housekeeping team prides itself on presenting clean and fresh rooms to all our guests, as mentioned in many other reviews. The Tudor has a team of housekeepers, maintenance staff, chefs, waiters and administration staff working 24 hours a day to fulfil any requests you may have. The Tudor follows standard Best Western International hotel procedure of holding some money on a credit card in case of incidental charges. This money is released to the guest in the time frame specified by the Commonwealth Bank. All guests can be assured of a restful and enjoyable stay at The Tudor.
