The hotel was clean and comfortable, with helpful staff, complementary coffee and tea in the lobby, and free breakfast in the morning. The rooms felt outdated and a little tired, but were comfortable with a microwave, mini-fridge, desk/table, wardrobe (external closet), and safe. There was also a coffee maker but it was missing the part that you put the grounds in, so it was unusable.
A big downside to the room was that there were not a lot of outlets, which added to it feeling outdated. I had to hunt for an outlet to plug in my laptop and phone charger, and the outlet that was closest to the desk was already used by the TV, lamp, and coffee maker. I also had to search for outlets behind the nightstand (there was one outlet on the nightstand lamp, but I needed more than one).
This hotel is located right where I-70 meets the Missouri River, near a large bridge, so it's a high traffic area. But it's also very convenient, and the St. Louis airport is a 15-minute drive during off-peak hours. Historic Old Town St. Charles is just a mile away, with lots of restaurants, quaint shops, cobblestone streets, and historical markers.
There was ample free parking available. less
