This is one of the few larger, nicely furnished hotels that you'll find on Whidbey Island. The decorations and rooms are quite modern and the staff is helpful and pleasant. We checked in with a dog and they put us in the back where we could go directly out our rooms patio door to the back parking lot where there's a grassy pet area. This area was quiet with chairs, picnic table and doggie waste bags. They even had what looks like a horse paddock surrounded by a tall wooden fence.
Our room was quite large and had a king bed and good-size bathroom. There was a TV channel guide, ironing board, mini-refrig., coffee-maker, etc. The breakfast was down in the basement and had plenty of seating with a young lady watching over it to make sure everything was stocked.
The hotel is conveniently located right off Hwy. 20, although I almost missed it in the dark as "Best Western Plus" has apparently adopted red and white signs instead of the familiar gold on royal blue colors. The pool was out-of-order although no one would have wanted to swim outdoors in the February weather. All in all a nice place, although a little expensive, but most stuff on Whidbey is a little pricier than the mainland. less
