Overcharged and accused us of trying to skip out on hotel room without paying

We stay at this hotel every year. In the past we have had some problems, but they were resolved. This year our son locked the bathroom door and someone had to come and unlock it. That was fine. He has autism and we expect things like that to happen sometime. We booked through Expedia and paid in advance to get a lower rate. At check out, they told us that we hadn't paid. They wanted the credit card it was charged on buy my son with autism took it and lost it so I had a new card. It did come out of my bank already. We were not allowed to leave until my husband paid a second time. Expedia says it is Best Western's problem. Best Western Corporate said it was the hotel's problem. The hotel said that it is Expedia's problem. What I see is that we paid in advance in good faith and got rooked by all three. Stay away from this hotel if using a credit card and never pay these people in advance. Sad that after staying here for 10 years every year, that we cannot stay here any longer. less
