We stayed one night at this property, as we were just passing through. The hotel is about a mile from the Wharf, which was walkable for us, but may not be for others. Not too many local food choices in the area of the hotel, so keep in mind that driving or walking will most likely be necessary.
Our second floor room faced the rear of the property. We didn’t hear traffic from the main drag out front, but there is a busy little street to the rear, but the traffic died down overnight. The rooms are not all that quiet either as we could hear conversations from the neighboring room as well as from the hallway. On a side note, there seemed to be an above average number of rude visitors who didn’t think twice to yell down the hallway or slam doors at odd hours of the night. That is NOT the hotel’s fault, we just had bad luck. The room was fairly large and did not feel cramped, which is always a plus. The bed wasn’t that great – super springy and bouncy.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and it was a nice atmosphere. The breakfast was nice, had the basics you would enjoy at most hotels from 6-10am. There is a dedicated breakfast area, which is nice, so people aren’t spilling out into the lobby and hallways. less
