This place has a lot of charm to it. Walking in, you can see the dining area which looks really nice. The check in staff was super helpful and friendly.
My room was the king suite. Every wall had wallpaper peeling off it. Also, a number of moulding pieces were coming loose too. The room itself was clean. The air conditioner remote didn’t work so I had to climb on top of the side table in order to work it. A number of lamps didn’t work either, resulting in a fairly dark room. When I mentioned it to the front desk upon check out their reply was “electricity’s weird” whatever that’s supposed to mean.
We ate at the restaurant. The food was really good. The service was super slow though. Took forever to get drinks from the bar. The drink order was wrong, but we managed. Our server mentioned that “people were coming out of the woodwork” so we took that to mean that it was unusually busy so we gave the slow service a pass this time.
For breakfast they gave us terrible coffee and a grab and go bag. The bags were absolutely terrible. Whoever put these things together should be ashamed. An orange, a chocolate chip granola bar, a tiny sugary mushy muffin, a fruit cup, and an apple juice. Since I can’t eat added sugar I could eat the small fruit cup and the orange. Why couldn’t they have stuff like oatmeal that you add hot water too so you could make it in your room, maybe they could have had some chilled yogurt you could have picked out? I expected a little better for the price of the room. less
