We stayed here as a family of 4, two adults and two children (13 & 9). We booked a family room which on our booking on hotel.com was described as 2 bedrooms. The room we actually received was one room with a sofa bed for the kids. The room overlooked the closed pool. After a day or so, I complained to be told the other ‘family’ room, which has 2 rooms was occupied, but would be free the next day. In fact it wasn’t, so the hotel found a solution which was 2 inter connecting rooms instead, at the same price for the remaining 4 nights of our stay, which worked out fine, especially as we now had 2 bathrooms, space and privacy!
The reception is a nice lounge area and the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms themselves could be described as Premier Inn level; relatively modern, with sufficient storage for a short break, decent bed and pillows, tv, shower gel/shampoo, kettle etc. The rooms were cleaned well every day with fresh towels if required. The bathrooms were clean, with no mould on any silicon around the shower, which is one of my pet hates, so good marks there! The air-con only has heat settings this time of year, but the room was warm enough without any heat on.
The breakfast was 17 euros per person, so we passed as that is steep. There are lots of places nearby including cafes, a spar and a nice bakery to get a more reasonably priced breakfast.
The hotel was quiet with only 12 out of 91 rooms occupied at Xmas. This was good as we got to play the free pool table with kids a lot, although the hotel bar is pricey.
The gym is ok for a hotel gym, better than most, I think it is possibly used by locals as well, it is a proper training gym (as opposed to a posers gym).
Parking was free outside at this time of year so that was useful. It takes about 45 minutes from Nice airport and two tolls, it’s a straight road to st Raphael.
From outside the hotel if you turn right there is a nice coastal road to Cannes and it takes about half an hour or so, with no tolls and nice scenery. If you turn left it is about a mile into st Raphael centre. There are lots of free parking in the area and using a gps system like Waze makes it very easy to get around.
