The night we stayed, the hotel was booked up and they called ahead on the day of arrival to inquire of our arrival time. That was a nice touch that all hotels could learn from! Upon arrival, the hotel looked brand new. Check in was quick and they offered bottle waters for being reward members. Once in the rooms, the beds were extremely hard. I know what Fred Flintstone must have felt like after a nights non-sleep. The tile in the bathroom had been repaired with silicone instead of using real grout to make repairs. The pillows were all overly soft. Having access to Direct TV is a nice touch, and all the channels were clear. The channel lineup even included HBO. The next morning, the breakfast was absolutely terrible. I appreciate a hot breakfast, but this was very, very cheap. The sausage was as un-sausage like as could be possible. The eggs were still powdery tasting, and the orange juice might as well have been tap water. The biscuits and gravy were the only pluses here. The fitness center was of average size. It was too cool to check out the pool area. Checkout was quick and there is a Luby's in the same parking lot and lots of other places to eat nearby. I wouldn't want to stay there again unless I just had to. There are nicer options nearby. I think its a cheap shot at BW trying to rebrand as a more upscale hotel. less

Dear Paul D,
I sincerely thank you for taking the time for your review. We are very happy that your arrival at our hotel made you feel welcome and valued as a guest. On a busy night, we do take the time to call our guests to prepare for their arrival. I do take your comments seriously and will discuss these with our entire team. With regards to our breakfast, we are always evolving our breakfast menu to offer new items based on customer feedback. Our scrambled egg is a not a water based product. Like many hotels, we use a real egg product from Michaels Foods called Papetti’s® Easy Eggs. You can buy this in your grocery store next to your carton eggs. We use this product as it does not require our staff to crack eggs and worry about getting egg shell particles in the cooked product. Based on your feedback, however, it appears there is still room to improve and we will review our recipes again and adjust for taste. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope we can earn your business again.
