I booked the BW because of the reviews. I am not sure they prepared me for my stay. When I checked in, I was assigned to a 3rd floor room, which I prefer. Before I could leave the desk, the clerk remembered that the elevator was broken and reassigned me to the first floor in a handicapped accessible room. She said it didn’t have a couch, but had a chair.
The room was odd. While it had wide doorways, it also had a heavy stool that cut down the walkway into the room down to about 26”—not enough room for a wheelchair to pass through, and the stool would be too cumbersome for a person with mobility issues to move. The bathroom was large, but the sink stopper was stuck in the drain, allowing water to trickle down. The floor was badly stained. And I found one washcloth that was not stained gray.
The chair was worn, with stains where the head and hands would rest. I did not sit on it.
About 9:15, the fire alarm went off. No one evacuated. A gentleman I spoke with at the breakfast area said it happens all the time.
The evening clerk, at the desk when the alarm went off was swearing between phone calls from guests. The early morning clerk stated he was not even told it happened, as did the layer morning clerk.
Breakfast—all refined carbs and a few pieces of fruit.
The hot tub Had a green color.
I will not be back.
