After reading all of the rave reviews about this particular hotel, I decided to book a room for four nights while visiting family in the area. Pros: The grounds are nice, the breakfast was fine, and the staff were helpful and courteous. Cons: I was booked in Room 14 which had a king bed., small table and chair, fridge and microwave. One curtain had a good size hole in it- and a dark brown stain. (All the curtains looked like they needed to be laundered.) The room also had a stale odor to it - so much so that my daughter commented - saying my clothes smelled like the beach (?) I hadn't been to the beach! The lock on the door didn't instill confidence (one deadbolt, one chain) although I've been told that it met safety standards. Everything in the room looked a bit "tired" and could use an update. It's not an inexpensive hotel - so I just don't feel like I got what I paid for. Maybe I just got an old room??? less
