Dear visitor, thank you so very much for posting this review of your stay at our comfortable hotel in downtown Quebec City. True that, in order to make sure all our clients’ needs are addressed, we furnish our rooms with high-quality items such as natural memory foam mattresses that we wrap in deluxe triple-sheets linen, Keurig K-Cup coffee makers, mini-refrigerators, functional work space with a chair-on-wheel, 42” HDTV with a diverse selection of bilingual channels along with several useful features and facilities. Those facilities include a heated indoor pool, exercise room and of course, a high-speed WIFI connection, all those are of course offered without any extra charges. Forgot something? We have a huge list of items that most travelers do require during their trip like toothbrush and toothpaste, shavers and shaving cream, eye-care products, adaptors, phone chargers and many others, most handed at no cost at all. You simply have to dial “0” from the phone in your room to reach our front office agents, whom will have the required items delivered to your room promptly. Switching to a different topic, our property did undergo a major transformation last year, with all our 177 rooms getting a total refacing with both carpets and tapestries being replaced by new materials, along with the corridors that leads to them. We also gave our heated indoor pool a brand-new flooring, put some new furniture in our main lobby and added some seating spaces so guests can comfortably wait while their travelling partners get their room. We are currently planning our next big improvements and we hope to have some exciting announcements to make shortly. Our guests can follow-us on Facebook and on our website to see what’s coming at the Best Western PLUS City Center Quebec. To conclude, well I would simply like to thank you one last time for this kind review of your stay at our comfortable hotel in downtown Quebec City, looking forward to welcome you back soon. Best regards! Jean-Pierre Gagne Hospitality and Guest Experience Manager

Long Weekend

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend around the Holiday. Although we hoped to stay in Old Quebec, the prices were very high because of all the festivities so we opted for this hotel. It work... more

Dear Stacey P, we are glad you chose to stay at our affordable hotel in downtown Quebec City for the holyday weekend, even more so that you seemingly were pleased with the experience. First, we do offer very competitive rates year-long through many promotions available via every channel, whether it be online on our website, over the phone with our knowledgeable front office agents or with those of the Best Western central of reservation. Not only booking accommodations at our property allows you easy access to every single historical site, activities or other occupation that may bring you to our lovely little corner of Europe in North America, but you also get high-quality equipment and amenities. Actually, you really don’t have to opt for the most expensive properties located in the heart of the Old Quebec, as we are right in THE new trendy area in town, just on the outskirt of the main touristic area, which is easily accessible by foot or by city buses. Our front office agents and valet attendants are more than capable of pointing you in the right direction, even to give you advice on how to best plan your daily schedule according to their vast knowledge of the larger region of Quebec City. Then, there are a couple of things about your review I must regrettably rectify. First, although there is indeed a Starbucks Café a few blocks away from our main entrance, it is not straight in-front of our property. What we have though is even better, as the hotel hosts a coffee shop, Café In, on the ground floor down the hall from our beautiful lobby. I assure you that you will be treated with a better coffee experience than in any Starbucks, as we do offer a huge variety of coffee beans, which will be grinded to perfection on demand and brewed to perfection by our professional baristas. Second, although they are very easily accessible from our location, the Battle Park on Plains of Abraham are not right next to our hotel. It would take about 30 minutes walk to reach them or a split trip of bus and foot that would last between 10 and 15 minutes in order to reach them. Last but not least, our rooms only have whether one king bed or two queen beds in them, double beds indeed being not very practical for families with older kids, a demographic that we always welcome at our property. Some of our rooms even have two queen beds and a sofa-bed, where families of up to 6 members can easily maneuver. Well then, with all that said I believe I must end this response and thank you one last time for posting these comments on our affordable hotel in downtown Quebec City, hoping that you will indeed stay with us again next year. Clean & organized hotel – awesome when traveling with pets

Dear guest, on behalf of all my colleagues and myself, thank you so very much for filing this quite exhaustive review about your stay at our pet-friendly hotel in downtown Quebec City Since 2007, our establishment is indeed proud to allow its visitors to bring along their little fury family members on their vacations so they are not left alone at home while the rest of the bunch is away having fun. Although we will ask for a cellphone number so we can reach-out to you in case your animal causes any disturbance to other customers, it is true that we allow your dog or cat to remain in the room while you are out. As for the price, it costs only 15.00$ plus taxes per night to bring your dog or cats at our property, price that includes a welcome package for your animal with treats and poo-bags along with maps of the area highlighting the nearby parks, including a dog-park just a few steps away from our front door as well as useful numbers for veterinary and other animal-related services. But mostly, this nightly fee covers for the extra cleaning that must be done following the presence of an animal to prevent allergic reactions by future guests who would stay in that room. Another great feature of our establishment that often receives praises from Tripadvisor contributors is our full-service restaurant, Bistro le 330. Located I the hotel’s atrium, it serves breakfast every morning from 7:00am, whether as an “a la carte” menu or an American buffet as well as diner every evening between 5:00pm and 10:00pm with a delicious North American Bistro-style menu. Both menus are available as room service during the establishment’s opening hours. One last detail about breakfast: although it is not included with every available rate, it is possible to add it to some reservation at a very tiny cost per person. It is important to note though that reservations made though third-party websites such as Expedia or Booking.com do not allow for breakfast to be included in the reservation. Only reservations made with us over the phone, on our website or via the Best Western central of reservation offer this option. So then, I think the only thing left is to thank you one last time for this review of your stay at our pet-friendly hotel in downtown Quebec City, hoping you will return soon. Best regards! Disgusting room, terrible and inconsistent service

Dear guest, thank you for submitting this review. On behalf of all my colleagues, I would like to present our most sincere apologies for failing at providing you with the high-quality experience that every Best Western PLUS property are known to offer to their visitors. The situation you describe with the used shower cap in the hair dryer bag falls definitely short of our high standards in terms of room cleanliness. Following reception of your comment, we reminded all housekeeping personnel the hair dryer bags must be checked after each departure and properly cleaned regularly. We do apologize if this simple omission had a negative impact on the overall quality of your stay. Then, we will only change bed sheets of an occupied room after the 3rd night, unless otherwise instructed by the occupying guests. Such request can be made whether by calling our front office agents, whom will dispatch housekeeping personnel to your room at your most convenient time. We are sorry this task wasn’t done to your satisfaction after you made the request for the bed sheets to be changed. As for the bottled water you requested, they are usually reserved for our Best Western Reward members as their welcome package. We therefore are not always able to hand them to non-member on request and we are sorry the goodwill gesture of one of our front office agents to have some brought to your room made you feel you were entitled to them everyday. We also encourage our front office agents to propose as many solutions as possible when they cannot fulfill a customer’s request, in this case informing you about the fact that the tab water is as good as bottled water and that some can be purchased on vending machine located on every level. Again, we are sorry you took this attempt at providing you with a superior customer service as a bad display of the later. As you can see from plenty of other reviews on Tripadvisor, guest service is one of our strong point here at Best Western PLUS City Center and we will always try to better ourselves with comments from guests. To conclude, I would simply like to clarify two things. First, the picture of the tub you posted along with your review shows the anti-slip coating that prevents one from falling while showering. After we received your review, we made sure that the tub in room 331 was still up to our standards and it definitely was. Second, every Best Western establishment is managed independently, so one bad experience at one property do not warrant a similar experience at another hotel. So we truly hope that despite this lackluster experience, you will give us a chance to prove the real value of our establishment by staying with us again in the future. Kind regards!

Dear Brenda R, thank you for these comments regarding your stay at our hotel with free WIFI in downtown Quebec City. First and foremost, I would like to address this crucial aspect of our product, as we do offer a free, high-speed WIFI connection to all our guests throughout our property. This connection is way sufficient for any web usage, but maybe for high volume data usage such as streaming HD movies or downloading heavy content. But then, we do put at our guests’ disposal a higher volume of upload/download with our ultra fast WIFI connection, which is offered at 4.95$ plus taxes for a period of 24 hours, connection that is plenty fast to tackle anything you will throw at it. Then, all our rooms are equipped with 42” HDTV that offer a vast selection of bilingual channels, Keurig K-cup coffee makers with a free assortment of regular coffee, decaf and green tea, a mini-refrigerator, in-room safe big enough to fit a 15” laptop and an Iron and Ironing board. Although microwaves are not present in any rooms at the moment, we do offer some at a very small nightly fee. You may request them from our front desk agents, whom will have it delivered to your room promptly. As for our valet parking, it is offered to our guests traveling with a vehicle at a rate of 27.00$ plus taxes per day that include free, unlimited in-and-out access to the vehicle at all times. This rate does favorably compare with what other hotels in downtown Quebec City offers for a similar service. If ever that option does not seem to tempting, both our valet attendants and front office agents can precisely guide you to the several public lots that may offer less expensive options, although they do not always guarantee free and unlimited access as our valet service does. TO conclude, well I would dimply like to thank you one last time for posting this very complete review of your stay at our hotel with free WIFI internet in downtown Quebec City, hoping you will return soon.
