Decent hotel. Very close to the old city. Easy to walk to. Also easy to just hop on a bus and go. Lots of restaurants close by. Great for when it's snowing. They still stay open. Try Poutineville or the Mexican place nearby (Deli-mex).
Bathroom could have a more powerful shower but it did the job. Very warm room, even though it was freezing outside!
Loved the fact that you can go to the Uniprix opposite, buy a bus ticket or travelcard for the day and go. The 800 and 801 were very useful for all our trips.
Would stay here again if I ever have a chance to come back. less

Dear Babydonutx, thank you so much for this pretty detailed review of your stay at our hotel within walking distance to Old Quebec City. In fact, the exact distance separating us from the Old Quebec’s starting point, Saint-John’s Gate is 1.1Km according to Google Map, which translates into a walk of about 15 minutes. I should maybe add that this stroll is almost entirely uphill via Cote d’Abraham and Ave. Honoré Mercier. If ever that scares you a bit and you would like to take an alternative way of transportation, city bus is the way to go with plenty of routes, including the 800 and 801 you mentioned, with stops just a block away from us that will drop you right atop the hill next to the Parliament building. These routes are actually some of the most frequent ones in town and they merge just a few blocks away from our hotel, which means that they may pass as often as every 5 minutes in peak hours. But then, you don’t really need to go that far to have a great time because, as you also noted in your review, our neighborhood of Quartier Nouvo Saint-Roch has plenty of great restaurants, bars, micro-breweries, show venues, theatres and services such as pharmacies and grocery stores. And yes, they will always be open even if it’s hell outside with snowstorm or even ice storm like today, just be warry of the slippery path to get there. We are also the closest hotel to the Videotron Center, the brand new arena that welcomes the entertainment industry’s biggest names as well as being host to the Remparts, the Quebec Junior Major Hockey League team. In summer time, you may also stroll to the Stade Municipal to watch a baseball game of the CANAM league’s Capitales de Québec with the whole family. Well then, I would simply like to thank you one last time for your kind words on our hotel within walking distance to the Old Quebec City, hoping you will be back soon. Best regards!
