The location was good, 5 minutes walk to the Metro station and 10 minute walk to the city centre. Had a slight issue with the key panel so couldnt get into my room, but the maintenance guy fixed it quickly. I was suppose to get a welcome drink c/o booking.com but they forgot even though this was highlighted in yellow on the paper they got me to sign. When I entered room it did have a strange smell, I thought it was a smoking room at first.
I booked a double room but they didnt have that so upgraded me to the Junior Suite. It was spacious and very clean with a sofa and mini bar. The shower was hotter at night than it was in the mornings, I guess it depends how many people are showering at the time. Even though the shower unit is encased in glass, there was a small leak at the bottom. The free wifi was excellent.
I stayed on a weekend and the hotel restaurant was closed all weekend, I was not aware of this when I booked, if I had known I would have booked elsewhere so dinner was a kebab from across the road, or you can go to nearby McDonalds or Mall of Sofia.
Breakfast was ok, the hot food was a bit cold on my first day, didnt try it on my second. They have bread, toaster, meat, cereal, cakes and croissants, juices, fruit salad on my first day but not on my second day. less
