Best Western Plus Antibes Riviera

The bed and linen was so comfortable! The staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us explore Antibes. Breakfast was fantastic. There was a lovely lady preparing breakfast which included bacon, eggs, cheeses, breads and pasteries. We visited in February on our way back from Italy as a one night stop over and it was perfect for us. less

For almost the last 8-9 years,i visit Antibes regularly. And i was always complaining the hotels around are usually in old buildings,no or few parking spots, working with winter time lessened staff and the breakfast (infact for most of the hotels in France it is same) is never satisfactory. I stayed in Best Western Plus Antibes Riviera on 19th December. The staff were friendly and helpful,the location was near to the spots i had to be, the building was perfect and new,the room was clean and comfortable,there is a dedicated parking lot at the backyard, and the breakfast was perfect! I was really fully satisfied with my stay and get back to this hotel on to stay two more nights before driving back to Italy. After almost a decade i finally found the perfect business hotel in Antibes. I would like to share my gratitudes one more time with the hotel staff via this comment... less

We stayed at this lovely place in October and it was a refreshing welcome after staying in a different hotel nearby that was neither nice or friendly. All of the front desk staff here go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help with any questions. They all spoke English and each recommendation they made was perfect. We walked to the train and bus station each day to travel up and down the French Riviera. Lovely little market and bakery close by as well. We had a balcony view that was great. Yes, there is a busy street, but we were so tired each night it never bothered us. The balcony doors are pretty heavy duty and great soundproofing. Excellent breakfast each morning. They even had scrambled eggs and bacon! Would highly recommend a stay here. less

On reading the hotel description on Trip Advisor, I saw that it seemed that all rooms had a decent view some either a view of Baie des Antibes and others the French Alps. Imagine my surprise when the room we were shown had a great view of the front garden and the main road. I queried this with reception and in order to get a room with a decent view, I was asked to pay another 40% for an upgrade. The room did have a balcony and was clean and tidy. However, it was sparsely equipped; no Nespresso machine, no ironing board and no complimentary newspaper or Bath robe all of which were listed on Trip Advisor Hotel reviews page.There was a kettle, but there was a ration of 2 sachets of coffee only. I did ask for extra and these were provided. There were china mugs, but plastic stirers - not a metal teaspoon as I would have expected. I don't know who concocted them, but I read some glowing reviews before I booked which was why I chose this hotel and was very disappointed with the whole experience. The continental breakfast, which we did not take, would have cost 26euros for the two of us, so we went to the next-door mini market and boulangerie each morning for provisions and were well fed for about 6 euros a day.The staff were friendly.and in the main quite helpful. less
